Script for issue 1 nearly finished.
Just wanted a quick update. I'm about 3/4ths of the way done with the first script. Don't expect anything mind blowing as my main inspirations for the story line are cheesy 60's/70's scifi films and television shows (ULTRAMANZ). As soon as the scripted is finished I shall begin storyboarding, which may take a while as action/fighting poses are giving me a little trouble but the help of a camera and somebody posing should go a long way.
I'd like to say that the scope of the comic while kind of big, everything else is minimal. So far there's only two characters that have dialogue and I'm more concentrated on giving the story away through the visuals...hopefully it'll work out. Like I said before the art style is going to be simple, but polished. No value here. :P As soon as I have some storyboards done I'll probably post some on the blog.

Geck: G-Robo...an introduction.
During the wee hours of the night I had an idea for a comic book; make a comic on stuff I like. I thought to myself, what's my favorite type of cool?...Giant monsters. Thus the idea for Geck was born. I wanted a robot to protect the earth from giant monsters, mad scientist and alien invaders. That's the plot. I figured the more vague the plot, the more room for creativity. The style of the comic book isn't going to be traditional comic book style. That's all fine and dandy but I wanted to approach the series with a fun and stylized, but simple look. In other words very cartoon like. What made me approach this style was I had just finished watching a Samurai Jack clip on youtube and realized how the simple in nature look really just allowed itself to be very creative. It could do many different color tricks and schemes but never did any frame look out of place, no matter how different is was from the last.
So, at this very moment I'm working on the first story for GECK: G-ROBO and hopefully I'll have some decent looking art up soon for it. Keep checking for updates. :]
